Inspiring Photographers
This picture is by Timothy Hogan. He is a luxury goods and still life photographer. I like this photo because of how he captures the richness in the photo especially with the mix of the colors. It makes me want it. I love the light around it because it gives it more of a rich look to it rather than just having the drink. The colors blend in perfectly because of the range of orange to yellow that mixes in with the black. It kind of reminds me of fire. Timothy Hogan uses his photography to advertise as well and just by looking at this picture, I can tell that advertising works well because of the way he captures what he wants to sell. Because of this picture, I want to try taking some pictures like this.
I chose this picture because it is simple but really creative. It reminds me that I don't have to look or go far for an interesting picture and that using creativity and techniques it is possible for something simple like park bench be a good subject for a picture. I love the use of colors in this picture and the all the colorful leaves on the ground. I gives the picture a very warm and colorful feeing. It reminds me of cool, wet autumn days and being bundled up outside. What I like even more is the framing and leading lines. The arm rest and the lines on the bench really add to help capture a good photo. It helps focus the attention to the center of the picture. Overall, this simple yet creative picture really helps capture the feeling of autumn.
Out of the three this is my favorite photo. My favorite type of photography is nature and landscape photography and in my opinion this is a amazing picture. I love how he captured the softness of the waves with a neutral density filter. The colors are also what makes it an eye capturing picture. The colors blend in perfectly and the sky is a beautiful shade of salmon pink and purple. The purple clouds are over the rocks and the go nicely together. The salmon pink sky goes nicely with the dark blue ocean and the light of the sun gives it more of an inviting look rather than the dark rocks underneath the purple clouds on the left side of the picure. I like how the colors go from dark to light in the picture. It gives it a bit of a mysterious feel to it. But all in all, this really is an amazing picture.
